Clark Skelton was born and raised in Ripon California. He made his start as a drummer at the age of 18 after buying a secondhand drum kit from a friend. It was immediately obvious that Clark was a natural. With the support of his peers he formed his first band Built and shortly thereafter had his band playing a residency at a local club every Friday night. Built would continue to play locally and eventually became a touring band playing over 165 shows a year from 1998 to 2001, opening for numerous national bands all over California. Before disbanding Built won the first ever Modesto Area Music Award for "Best Hard Rock Band" and gained the attention of Clear Channel's rock station 96.7 with their single "Constraint", co-written by Clark. In 2002 Clark relocated to Hollywood and attended Musicians Institute. He graduated in 2004 with a Degree in Percussion. In Hollywood, Clark co-founded the band A.G.E.S who released an EP in 2005 and a full length album in 2007 entitled "Indeterminate Destination". In 2007 Clark joined the Los Angeles based Hard Rock band Melotia and proceeded to tour heavily in support of their album "Every Waking Moment". In 2008, Melotia embarked on their Summer Kamikaze Tour covering 6 states and 28 cities. The tour was an enormous success, gaining the group significant attention across the US. Melotia recorded a six track EP in November 2008 entitled "Saving August Divine". The EP was released in April 2009 and Melotia proceeded to tour throughout 2009 in support of the release. Melotia are currently in the studio working on new material for a full length album to be released in 2010. Clark believes drumming is a true art form and perceives learning as an ongoing process. He continues to hone his craft by practicing daily. Clark is an ctive studio musician and also teaches private lessons at the Burbank Music Academy.
